Elena Nelyubina – Director & Principal Lawyer

Elena is an experienced commercial lawyer with strong expertise in contracts law, privacy, and general commercial law matters, with particular focus on IT, recruitment and labour-hire.

With a Master’s degree in International Economics and Business and a Master’s degree in Law (Juris Doctor), Elena’s academic background equips her with the legal and business acumen required to provide expert counsel to her clients.

What also sets Elena apart from other lawyers is her diverse professional background. Before pursuing a career in law, Elena worked in various non-legal roles in business, allowing her to develop a deep understanding of the inner workings of companies (international trade – purchase and sale of mining and other industrial equipment, recruitment, IT contracts management, etc). Her experience in business has helped her to develop a strong commercial mindset, which she applies when advising her clients.

Elena’s particular interest in IT and recruitments & labour-hire industries has been greatly influenced by her previous role as a Contracts Manager at an IT systems integrator where she worked within both – IT and recruitment arms of business. This experience has given her a deep understanding of the IT and recruitment & labour-hire industries, and she is well-positioned to provide valuable guidance to clients in those sectors.

In her legal practice, Elena is known for her passion for businesses, her commitment to providing practical solutions to complex legal issues and her ability to communicate legal concepts in a clear and accessible way.

Dawn Carey – Senior Corporate Counsel

Dawn Carey is a Senior Corporate Lawyer based in Brisbane and has over 17 years’ experience in corporate and commercial law. Dawn specialises in mergers and acquisitions (both through share sales and asset sales), corporate governance (including drafting and advising on constitutions, shareholders

agreements, resolutions and directors’ duties), commercial drafting, general compliance and corporate social responsibility.

Dawn has worked closely with officers and in-house legal counsel in relation to various corporate transactions and has managed all aspects of the deal process including due diligence processes, negotiating transaction documents, liaising with regulators, deal execution and post-completion matters.

Dawn has completed secondments to Vale Australia, Telstra, Sugar Research Australia, Tourism Queensland and QPILCH and completed a Master of Laws (specialising in Corporate Law) through the University of Sydney.

 

Harmony Aldridge – Senior Employment Counsel

Harmony has been surrounded by workplace relations since she was a child and has more than 17 years’ experience as an employment lawyer and workplace relations practitioner.

Having worked for Global law and professional services firms, Harmony has also enjoyed inhouse experiences at Suncorp (on secondment) and most recently with 7 years at Virgin Australia.

Harmony thrives on assisting clients with complex HR and employment matters, including matters with the Fair Work Commission and Fair Work Ombudsman. She has experience in all aspects of employment law, including HR and safety due diligence, contract and policy creation and review, payroll audits and remediation, award and enterprise agreement interpretation, enterprise agreement negotiation and implementation, investigations, restructures.
